Shan Luvisa has a B.S. Degree in Home Economics From California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo where she studied both interior design as well as fashion merchandising. She complimented her undergraduate degree with additional interior design courses at the UC Berkeley Extension Program in Berkeley, CA. While there, she apprenticed with San Francisco Bay Area Interior Designer, Sara Swimmer of Swimmer and Associates Interior Design (S&A). During her 10 years with S&A, she participated in the 1995 Benefit Guild of East Bay House of Design in Orinda, CA. While working for Swimmer and Associates, Shan successfully managed over 20 residential and commercial design projects on an annual basis. In 1997, Ms. Luvisa relocated to Southern California where she has been the owner and senior designer of her own firm, Obvious Flair. She has more than 20 years experience as an interior designer and is an Allied Member of the ASID (American Society of Interior Designers). She is an active member in the Monarch Beach Chapter of the National Charity League (NCL) as well as Furnishing Hope, a charity comprised of interior designers who volunteer to design and furnish homes for Habitat For Humanity, Wounded Warriors and Rising Tides-an organization assisting young adults exiting the foster care program. Shan is marrried with two children and lives in San Juan Capistrano, CA.
